After almost 5 months since first catching the virus I am finally signed off by the Doc today!
It wasn't quite the end of the story though as the iritis came back several more times until August 2006, but at least I knew what to do about it. I also had another rather scary eye problem in September 2005 - all related to the original virus.
So that's it, and if you've kept up with reading this blog since last New Year's Eve, thanks and - look after yourself! :-)

I had a hospital appointment with a specialist today. My right hand hadn't properly gone back to normal so I had an x-ray on it, plus a blood test to make sure all the infection had gone.

Today, after a course of 12 weeks, or 84 days, I finally took my last anti-biotic tablet!
I really dislike taking medicine, I seem to have this fear of it doing some harm elsewhere in my body, and back on the 12th of February, 84 days later seemed forever! At last they had ALL gone!
