The day it all began.
I came down with what appeared to be just a very nasty bout of flu. I spent the evening at my family's house for New Year's Eve, but felt myself getting hotter and hotter, burning up. As soon as I arrived home around midnight, I got into bed, shivering more than I could imagine. Not only did I keep all my clothes on in bed, but I added a fleece hoody as well.
My night in bed was frequently interrupted with trips to the loo and to use the bowl by the bed.

What Is This Blog About?
Hello,
Everyone who has known me for at least 5 years will know that the first half of 2004 was a very difficult time healthwise for me - and not a time I would like to repeat.
Rarely does a day go by that I don't think back to those first six months of 2004.
Now it's the beginning of 2009, and because the days of the week are also exactly the same as they were in 2004 [until 28th Feb anyway] I have decided to recreate an exact diary of what happened to me during that time. I can do this from notes I took at the time.
By doing this, rather than just telling the story in one go, it should make all too clear just for how long the situation went on. There are times, especially near the beginning, when everything seemed fine and not a lot happened, but that is how it was.
Thanks for reading.
