Today I received news from the doc of what I had had - it turned out to be a Campylobacter Infection - An infection carried in food rather than food poisoning, because the bacteria multiply after being eaten instead of in the food beforehand. So there we are! And now, because he knew what I had, he could prescribe a course of antibiotics, which I started on straight away.
